The black is nice to set off closets from other door types:)This set installs and feels/handles jsut as well as any other mid-premium handleset, definitely not lightweight. One nice thing is that the latch plate is rectangular, rather than having rounded corners, which are a devil to install in doors that previously had simple holes for the latch bolts to protrude through; chiseling those things out can take hours (or special chisels) to get right. A very good handleset. Happy to recommend.
